This paper pays special attention to a) the local market that Swedish gerontomigration has generated, b) the relations among all the actors that have a role in the provision of goods and services for Swedish/Scandinavian retirement migrants, and c) the strategies that retirement migrants develop to obtain care provision when dependency needs appear.
