Propaganda accusation hits PP

Torrevieja's ruling Partido Popular (PP) has been accused of using expat residents' meetings to rally support for the May local elections.

Green party (Los Verdes) spokesman José Manuel Dolón lamented that British citizens may be being manipulated.

"We are aware that associations such as Neighbourhood Watch are being targeted with councillors attending meetings to spout PP political propaganda," he said.
